Detective Kat Donovan’s world falls apart when she finds her estranged fiancé on a dating app. Which leads her to reopen her father’s unsolved murder. This will be the fourth adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel starring Richard Armitage. Having never read the books, I always think Mr. Coben sits down and writes everything as an afterthought to make it all fit together, but it does! I love the divinatory nature of each episode, no one can be trusted, he’s bad, she’s bad, they’re bad, he did it, she did it, they did it. Each episode leaves you needing answers, which obviously makes it so marathon-worthy. Sit back, leave your brain at the door, call out every plot hole, every inadequacy, every odd character name (Reynaldo is one of my favorites) for where it’s set, but love it anyway and look forward to the next Coben/Netflix collaboration . No need to waste time endlessly scrolling—here’s the full list of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
